Planning for Christian Formation
The Church year is more than a collection of Sundays! A year-long calendar offers the opportunity to see the arch of liturgical worship and scriptural story-telling. This calendar marks each Sunday, but also color-codes liturgical seasons, enabling formation leaders to clarify where they might delve deeper in their planning and where it might be better to let the Church’s story direct the work of teaching.
Planning Calendar from Sharon Ely Pearson
The calendar below begins with June 2015 and runs all the way through August 2016. Each Sunday is listed with date, readings, feast day designation, along with any secular holidays such as Mother’s Day, Veterans Day, etc. There is plenty of room to add your own events, and to make notes.
Our thanks and praise to Sharon Ely Pearson for making this chart available each year. This year, there are two versions. The PDF version on the left is great for easy printing. The Word Document version on the right enables editing. You can download and edit, adding in your own events and notes as you go.
Thank you again to Sharon Ely Pearson for providing this resource. You can read more of Sharon’s work at rowsofsharon.com.
